Background on Group 9

Group 9 Security Solutions evolved from K9 Security who commenced operations in 1965 under the control of the late Mr. H.S. Brook and from 1975 Mr. I.D. Brook. K9 Security Cape commenced operations in 2000 under control of Mr. J. Le Roux and undergone a name change to Group 9 Security Solutions and equity ownership change in 2007.

From modest beginnings the Company has grown steadily, to the point where it employs over 200 Security Officers on an equal opportunity basis. However, great care has been taken to consolidate at every possible opportunity in order for the services which we provide to our clients, not to be diminished in any aspect.

We pride ourselves with our workforce and all our security officers are remunerated on a basic (C – Grade) salary scale. G9 has one of the lowest staff turnovers in the security industry and we strive to comply with all relevant P.S.I.R.A. rules and regulations.

With our comprehensive grievance and appeal procedure, monthly shop steward meetings, laid down disciplinary codes, highly competitive salary and peripheral benefits, we are achieving and maintaining our aspiration of a happy, professional, highly disciplined and trained workforce.

G9 is not a "Jack of all Trades" and have stuck to what we do best, in that we specialize in the "Supplying of trained security officers and dogs" to the Industrial, Commercial and Retail markets. G9 is a company which is big enough to cope and small enough to care.
